Need Help

Need Help?
Are you an undocumented migrant in need of medical care? Even when you have no legal permit to stay you have the right to health care in The Netherlands. For all non-emergency care your point of contact is a general practitioner (Dutch: ‘huisarts’) in your area of residence. Even if you don’t have enough money to pay for the care, the doctor may not refuse to provide you with necessary health care. His costs can be compensated by the government. If the doctor doesn’t know about this, please show him this website:

Our organisation
Dokters van de Wereld can assist you in finding medical help. Our consultations are free of charge and confidential. As a neutral (non-governmental) organization we do not pass any personal information to others except for other health care providers. Even if you don’t have money to pay for the costs or even when you have been refused by a doctor we can help and advise you to access health care.
